Bio

Kalli Padgett

An artist of Creole / Cajun decent based in New Orleans. After obtaining a Fine arts degree at SCAD in Savannah Georgia, She began making work advocating deeper exploration & action for the human condition. Psychologically reflective moments are created with elements native to her time, place, and social situation. Turning harsh perspectives into fluid emotion.

Kalli’s most famous body of work “Emergence” portrays a strong reverence of the Louisiana landscape, mirroring the socio-political & mental Landscapes we traverse through daily. From an initial vision, mythological scenes are created blurring boundaries between conscious & unconscious experience. Completely ambiguous, the work begs an emotional response. Themes like, racism, education, identity and religion are discussed, as figures represent humanity in an emerging state.

With shows In Denver CO, Savannah GA, Louisiana, and France, she is determined to go wherever art can take her. Padgett is collaborating with welders, and sculpture artists to push more interactive, large scale work. NTF's are a top priority as well, because of the endless possibilities in transforming art from 2D into the metaverse, and out back again as 3D. She is always looking at ways to expand her practice, and in doing so, hopes to expand the human experience.
